CULTURAL APPROPRIATION
To begin with, we must bear in mind that cultural appropriation around the world is something that has already gained great fame for many years. Although the complaints before were much less, over the years the original cultures were defending what belongs to them, which is not a reason for someone from a totally different culture to appropriate this as if it were theirs or something without value or history. In this case we are going to cover what cultural appropriation is with what music would be. He as people who had flaws and erroneous mentalities such as xenophobia or racism, changed from one moment to another just because some group or melody that they once made fun of or humiliated, was conveniently presented to them. Cultural appropriation has existed almost forever, and one of its many branches is the one that encompasses music. Now we will talk more about this collective mistake that both Peruvians and people from other countries have made and continue making on the daily with the culture and with the traditional Peruvian singers and composers.

To appropriate means to own or take something as one's own. In this sense, “cultural appropriation” refers to the fact that a certain group has an intellectual property right, which is taken from them, over certain practices or material objects; however, only individuals can require subjects of law, not groups. On the other hand, it is correct to speak of the intellectual or material property rights of a group when the sum of the individuals that make it up has produced a certain good. Although, even in this situation, this right cannot be exercised until eternity. In the case of material property, since it is a limited amount of wealth, it can only be maintained through a continuous production process, or else it will be consumed. But in the case of intellectual property, if it were maintained in perpetuity, it would generate an effect contrary to what this right presupposes. However, in the case of “cultural appropriation”, we are mostly not talking about a group of specific individuals, but about an abstract collective, such as race or ethnicity. In this case it is even less consistent to speak of some kind of intellectual or material property, since the human population is so widespread and intermingled that it is impossible to determine exactly who belongs to a group, despite very few exceptions. We all have ancestors that come from all over the world, with very diverse cultural practices, some of which we are aware of and others we are not, so this does not mean that we do not have the right to learn and disseminate them in the way that we consider most convenient.
MONOLOGUE GROUP 2: Discussion
In conclusion, musical cultural appropriation is a phenomenon that is based on adopting elements from foreign cultures to incorporate them into their own culture. In addition, this concept encompasses the property right over an artistic style that a certain group has. Therefore, a solution to this problem would be mainly the acceptance and approval by the singers or artists and by the members of the different culture for the use of garments originating from a country other than their own, their way of life and their art that will be represented and embodied in their videos. As a final result, a mutual understanding between both groups would be achieved and what they want to express in their video clips would be deepened.
